Hi. Yesterday night went to Bedok Reservoir, my family and I were anticipated to watch the Hydro Sapiens -The Lunatics (The Netherlands)Part of the Water Wonder Series.
We went to Bedok Reservoir with excitement in our hearts. We saw a lot of people there waiting for the performance, somehow, to start too. But all I see was an empty sea, with no stage.
The performance starts at 8pm, but half an hour later, things were like the same. The only thing I saw were bunches of people waiting to watch the performance.
There's a small piece of poster hanging at the lamp post, my dad told me to go and look at it to know where's the actual place. I was upset to see that the place was actually not here, but fronting Block 743, that part of Bedok Reservoir. We were angry and decided to go home because the place was very far. We had already walked 0.3 km but saw nothing.
People were still waiting at the same place. I felt sad for them. As no one seems to bother about that piece of poster that saved my time. :x I think no one noticed it because it's too small and it's already dark.
Today, I heard the radio. People were complaining and were utterly disappointed by what they had experienced the day before. I felt sad for them because they wasted their time and effort for coming here and only 'enjoy' looking at plain sea till they decided to go home.
Everywhere, even in the news in televisions, radios, they did not tell the public the exact place. I was disappointed with their actions. They should know that Bedok Reservoir is huge. It is NOT easy to find a part of the place. Understand? The authorities did not tell us too. Even the website, oh gosh, it is only on the piece of, poster that stated that. They should know no one bothers to look at poster. Today is the last day of the performance, I bet there will be lesser people going as tomorrow is school reopening, parents won't allow them to go because they may sleep later at night. The authorities realised their mistake and apologized for the inconvinence caused and had now put directions and maybe ushers to guide people with their directions.
I hope the authorities won't be so unaware and lead to a disappointment next time.
Fyi, they also did not say that there is free shuttle bus to go to the part of Bedok Reservoir. I saw that piece of paper on a wall near Bedok MRT. The media did not tell us that too! Well, I think I should stop now.
